The Faroe Islands

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN THE FAROE ISLANDS

Arrival at the airport on Vagar Island, one of the 18 islands of the archipelago. You will be met by your French-speaking tour guide and transferred to your hotel in Tórshavn.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Føroyar Hotel.

DAY 2 - HIKE LAKE LEITISVATN – BØUR – MULAFOSSUR WATERFALL

Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for one of the most beautiful hikes on the island. You'll walk along Lake Leitisvatn to the Trælanipan cliff. The optical illusion there gives the impression that the lake is floating above the ocean. Continue to the 35-meter-high Bøsdalafossur waterfall, which plunges into the Atlantic Ocean. The hike takes about 3 hours and is accessible to all.
Picnic lunch.
Travel to Bøur, a charming coastal village. From the beach, you'll have a superb view of the islet of Tindholmur and the Drangarnir rock formation. Continue to the village of Gasadalur, home to the Mulafossur waterfall. Then, head towards Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Føroyar Hotel.

DAY 3 - TORSHAVN – VESTMANNA CLIFF

Buffet breakfast at the hotel.
Walking tour of Tórshavn with a local French-speaking guide.

Visit to Skansin Fortress, which protected the island from pirate raids in the 17th century.

Transfer by bus to Westmanna.

Buffet lunch (fish and seafood soup and salad bar).

In the afternoon, boat trips to the Westmanna cliffs. You are at the foot of 700-meter-high cliffs where thousands of birds gather: Arctic terns, guillemots, fulmars, gulls, petrels, and the adorable Atlantic puffins.

On the way back, we'll stop at the village of Kirkjubøur, a place steeped in legends and magical stories about the island and its inhabitants.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Føroyar Hotel.

DAY 4 - SAKSUN – GJOGV

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for the island of Streymoy to discover its many picturesque villages.
You will begin with Saksun and its lagoon encircled by black cliffs. Continue to Tjornuvil on the coast.
On the way to the island of Esturoy, you will pass by the Fossa waterfall.
Lunch during the excursion (main course + bread, water, and coffee included). Visit to Gjógv, a charming village of fewer than 50 inhabitants, surrounded by imposing mountains plunging into the often very rough sea. Return to Tórshavn.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Føroyar Hotel.

DAY 5 - FREE DAY IN TORSHAVN

Breakfast at the hotel.
Free day to continue exploring Tórshavn. Equipped with a map, you can search for the many sculptures and statues scattered throughout the town. If you wish to immerse yourself in the history of the Faroe Islands, visit the National Museum. A short boat trip (approximately 20 minutes, ticket: 50 DKK or about 7 euros) will take you to the island of Nólsoy. This island, approximately 10 square kilometers, is easily explored on foot.
Picnic lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the Hotel Føroyar.

DAY 6 - THE RETURN

Private transfer to the airport. End of our services.
